Article ID: 938927 - Last Review: February 23, 2009 - Revision: 5.1 You lose channel listings for some channels, and the recordings that you schedule do not run when you configure Windows Media Center to use a digital TV tuner in Windows Vista
On This PageProblem descriptionWhen you configure Windows Media Center to use a digital TV tuner in Windows Vista, you lose the Electronic Program Guide (EPG) channel listings for some channels. You also lose the EPG channel listings for the sub-channels of these channels. Additionally, the recordings that you schedule do not run. CauseThis problem occurs if the television broadcaster changes the information about the channels. In this situation, the Opportunistic Scanning feature updates the channel information according to the new channel details. For example, the Opportunistic Scanning feature updates the channel information when the broadcaster updates the titles of the channels. This may cause EPG information for the affected channels to be lost. ResolutionService pack informationTo resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows Vista.
