This article describes the requirements to run the tools in the Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007 Support Tools package.
The Operations Manager 2007 support tools are in the SupportTools folder on the Operations Manager 2007 installation media. Before you run the tools, copy the SupportTools folder to a local hard disk drive.
The following tools depend on files in the Operations Manager 2007 installation folder. Therefore, you must copy these tools to the installation folder before you run them.
- Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.GatewayApprovalTool.exe
-
DBCreateWizard.exe
Note You can run DBCreateWizard.exe on a server that does not have Operations Manager 2007 installed. However, you must copy the following files from the Operations Manager 2007 installation folder to the local folder that contains the tool:- Microsoft.MOM.UI.Common.dll
-
Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.UI.ConsoleFramework.dll
-
Microsoft.MOM.UI.Wrappers.dll
Additionally, you must copy the following files from the Support Tools\[architecture] directory:- Microsoft.VC90.CRT.manifest
- Msvcm90.dll
- Msvcp90.dll
- Msvcr90.dll
Copy these files from an Operations Manager 2007 server that is running the same Windows version and service pack level as the destination computer.
The subfolder in the DBCreateWizard platform folder in the SupportTools folder must also exist in the local folder that contains DBCreateWizard.exe.
DBCreateWizard.exe is a .NET Framework 2.0 application.
Before you run the following tools, we recommend that you copy them to the installation folder on the management server or on the gateway server:
- MPSeal
-
MPConvert
- SecureStorageBackup
- MOMAdAdmin
-
ManagementServerConfigTool
-
MOMCertImport
