Sites that require forms-based authentication or cookie-based authentication are not crawled in SharePoint Server 2007
This hotfix package fixes the following issues that were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
- When a SharePoint Server 2007 Web Front End server uses lots of virtual memory, the binary large object (BLOB) cache may experience slow performance.
This problem typically occurs on x64-based computers if the following conditions are true: - The SharePoint Server 2007 BLOB cache aborts a thread.
- A ThreadAbortException exception occurs.
When multiple ThreadAbortException exceptions occur, the SharePoint Server 2007 Web Front End server may experience slow performance.
- When you create duplicate Best Bets entries, or when duplicate Best Bets entries exist, and you try to change a keyword value in one of the duplicate Best Bets entries, you receive the following error message:
An item with the same key has already been added.
Hotfix information
A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. After you apply this hotfix, you must run the "SharePoint Products and Technologies Configuration Wizard." To do this, click

SharePoint Products and Technologies Configuration Wizard.
