This article describes the daylight saving time (DST) and other time zone changes that may affect Microsoft Office Live Meeting in the year 2008.
Worldwide, many time zones changed in the year 2008 by adopting DST, by changing time zones, or by changing the DST start date and end dates. You should be aware of the following DST and time zone changes in Live Meeting and make the appropriate changes.
Install the required updates
- Install the Microsoft Windows DST cumulative update on all affected Windows-based computers.

December 2008 cumulative time zone update for Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Install the Time Zone Data Update Tool for Microsoft Office Outlook. To do this, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
Note These updates correct the Windows time zone definitions. Additionally, these updates adjust the Outlook calendar items.
Verify meeting invitations
Live Meeting invitations may be off by one hour for meetings that were created before the changes that are listed in the following table were deployed. Meeting organizers must check their meeting start times and, if it is necessary, update and resend invitations. This process will make sure that all meeting invitees have the correct Outlook calendar items.
Live Meeting does not support the recent changes to countries and to time zones that are listed in the table. Meetings that are created in these time zones or that have invitees within these time zones may have incorrect start times. Therefore, organizers have to communicate with meeting invitees, based on their locations.
