FIX: After you use the AVIStreamWrite function to create an AVI file in Windows Vista, you cannot play the AVI file

However, you cannot play the AVI file, or the video that is generated by the AVI file is black. CAUSEThere is an error in the AVIStreamWrite function that causes the AVI header to be incorrectly created. RESOLUTIONHotfix informationA supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, it is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing.
