Description of the Microsoft Windows registryOn This PageSymptomsWhen you add multiple values to a lookup table that is used by an outline code, Microsoft Office Project 2007 takes longer than expected to add the new values. In some cases, it may take five to 10 times longer to add the new values. CauseThis problem occurs because Project 2007 searches for duplicate values in the lookup table. As the lookup table grows larger, Project 2007 takes longer to search for duplicate values in the table as you add new values. ResolutionThis problem is resolved by applying the Project 2007 hotfix package: June 17, 2007. How to obtain the hotfixThis issue is fixed in the Project 2007 Hotfix Package that is dated June 17, 2007. Description of the Project 2007 hotfix package: June 17, 2007Once you apply the hotfix, you need to modify the DontCheckDuplicateLT registry value. To have us automatically set the registry value for you, go to the "Fix it for me" section. If you prefer to fix this problem manually yourself, go to the "Let me fix it myself" section. Fix it for meNote you must install the hotfix discussed in the Resolution section above before continuing. To fix this problem automatically, click the Fix this problem link. Then click Run in the File Download dialog box, and follow the steps in this wizard. Note this wizard may be in English only; however, the automatic fix also works for other language versions of Windows. Note If you are not on the computer that has the problem, you can save the automatic fix to a flash drive or to a CD, and then you can run it on the computer that has the problem.
