SYMPTOMS

On a computer that is running a 64-bit version of Microsoft Windows, you configure Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 as a front-end server or as an Access Edge server. However, the Office Communications Server 2007 snap-in is not available on Communications Server 2007 front-end server. Or, the Computer Management snap-in is not available on Communications Server 2007 Access Edge server.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, follow these steps.

Communications Server 2007 front-end server
  1. Click Start, click Run, type MMC -32, and then click OK.
  2. On the File menu, click Add/Remove Snap-in.
  3. In the Add/Remove Snap-in dialog box, click Add.
  4. In the Add Standalone Snap-in dialog box, click Office Communications Server 2007, click Add, and then click Close.
  5. In the Add/Remove Snap-in dialog box, click OK.
Communications Server 2007 Access Edge server

Click Start, click Run, type compmgmt.msc -32, and then click OK.
