Users cannot download offline address books in Exchange 2007 when you use Microsoft Solution for Hosted Messaging and Collaboration version 4.0
SYMPTOMSUsers cannot download offline address books in a Microsoft
Exchange Server 2007 environment. As an administrator, you notice that the
offline address book folders do not exist. This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:
CAUSEThis problem occurs because the Microsoft Exchange Information Store
service maintenance procedure marks the folders as unused if the folders are
not found in the Active Directory directory service. By default, the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service maintenance procedure deletes the folders after eight days. If there are more than one thousand offline address books in Active Directory, the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service maintenance procedure reads only the first one thousand offline address books. The rest of the offline address books are marked as unused. RESOLUTIONTo
resolve this problem, install Update Rollup 4
for Exchange Server 2007.
