Agent approval problems may occur when you run System Center Essentials 2007 in Service Provider mode
On This PageSYMPTOMSWhen you run Microsoft System Center Essentials 2007 in Service Provider mode, you may experience the following symptoms that are related to agent approval. Symptom 1After a System Center Essentials 2007 server is configured to Service Provider mode, computers that are managed by the Operations Manager server must be discovered and then approved in Operations Manager. However, it may take several hours to approve these newly discovered computers.Symptom 2Consider the following scenario. An agent is approved by System Center Essentials 2007 for an Operations Manager server. Later, the agent is reinstalled and discovered by another Operations Manager server. In this scenario, System Center Essentials 2007 cannot approve this agent for the second Operations Manager server.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, apply the following file on each server that hosts a System Center Essentials 2007 Management Server role: SCE2007-RTM-KB939606-X86-X64ENU.MSI After you apply this hotfix, it will usually take several minutes to approve agents that Operations Manager discovers through System Center Essentials 2007.Hotfix informationA supported hotfix is available from Microsoft.
