SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2006, a memory leak occurs if the Enable caching of content received through the Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) option is enabled in a cache rule.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, apply the hotfix rollup package that is described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
940250 Description of the ISA Server 2006 hotfix package: date
