SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:
  • You use Windows Internet Explorer 7 to visit a Web site.
  • The Web site includes one of the following Microsoft Visual Basic Scripting Edition (VBScript) functions:
    • MsgBox
    • InputBox
  • The Phishing Filter feature is enabled in Internet Explorer.
In this scenario, Internet Explorer 7 may crash.

RESOLUTION

Hotfix information for Windows Vista

To resolve this problem, install the hotfix that is described in this article.

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing.
