Article ID: 940558 - Last Review: September 11, 2007 - Revision: 1.3 The public free/busy information for a resource is missing when you schedule a meeting in Outlook 2007On This PageSYMPTOMSYou create a meeting request that has a resource such as a meeting room as a recipient in Microsoft Office Outlook 2007. When you view the Scheduling page, the public free/busy information for the resource is missing or incomplete. CAUSEWhen a resource is scheduled by using the direct booking feature in Outlook 2007, the public free/busy information may be updated incorrectly. This problem occurs only if the user is using Cached Exchange Mode. If the user is direct booking the resource for the first time, all public free/busy information will be missing for later free/busy lookups. If the user is direct booking the resource after the first time, only the most recent appointment will be missing from the public free/busy information. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, apply hotfix 939596 on all computers that are used for direct booking. Any user who is performing a free/busy lookup will experience this problem. The cause of the problem is a user who last direct booked the resource. If you apply this hotfix to the computer that is performing the lookup, the problem will not be resolved. You must apply the hotfix to all computers that could possibly direct book the resource. After you apply this hotfix, you must also create a new profile for the user who is performing the direct booking. How to obtain the hotfixThis issue is fixed in the Outlook 2007 Hotfix Package that is dated June 29, 2007.
