INTRODUCTION

This article describes that Microsoft Office PerformancePoint Planning Server requires Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition.

If you install PerformancePoint Planning Server, you must also have SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition installed on the same computer. PerformancePoint Planning Server uses the following features that are available only in SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition:
  • Account intelligence
  • Semi-additive measures
  • Writeback dimensions
Note PerformancePoint Monitoring Server requires Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition.
