SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:
 • You install Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006 and Microsoft BizTalk Accelerator for RosettaNet 3.3 or you install Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006 R2 and Microsoft BizTalk Accelerator for RosettaNet 3.5.
 • You set the CIDW field to true on the Custom Property tab.
When you process Partner Interface Processes (PIPs) to send a message that includes attachments to a trading partner, the trading partner may reject the message. Additionally, the UniversalResourceIdentifier field is incorrectly generated in the following path:
ServiceHeader\ProcessControl\ActivityControl\MessageControl\Manifest\Attachment\
When this problem occurs, a value that resembles the following is generated in the UniversalResourceIdentifier field:
<UniversalResourceIdentifier>
cid:<9bd2763e56504ddc9abfe356bb5318cd@server.adatum.com>
</UniversalResourceIdentifier>
Note The UniversalResourceIdentifier field should not contain the following wrap characters:
 • <
 • >
The field value should resemble the following value:
<UniversalResourceIdentifier>
cid:9bd2763e56504ddc9abfe356bb5318cd@server.adatum.com
</UniversalResourceIdentifier>

RESOLUTION

This hotfix updates the components that PIP processing uses. Before you apply this hotfix on the server that is running BizTalk Server 2006 or BizTalk Server 2006 R2, make sure that all PIP processing is finished. Additionally, make sure that all orchestrations in BizTalk Accelerator for RosettaNet 3.3 or RosettaNet 3.5 are finished or are stopped.
