Renamed files may not immediately appear in the Remote Access search results on the Windows Homer Server Remote Access Web site

SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. You visit the Windows Home Server Remote Access Web site. On the Shared Folders tab of this Web site, you rename a file. Then, you search for this renamed file on this site. In this scenario, the renamed file may not immediately appear in the Remote Access search results.

CAUSE

This issue may occur because of a delay in the file indexing process. When you rename a file, the search indexer in Windows Home Server does not immediately perform the indexing process. Because of this delay, the renamed file may not immediately appear in the Remote Access search results.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, update the page. Or, you can try the search again. After several tries, the renamed file will appear in the Remote Access search results.
