In Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007, you insert a shape in a slide. Then, you apply a preset shadow effect for the shape. In the Visual Basic Editor, you try to programmatically obtain the shadow type of the shape by using the ShapeRange.Shadow.Type property. In this scenario, the ShapeRange.Shadow.Type property incorrectly returns a value of -2 for all shadow types. RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, apply the 2007 Microsoft Office hotfix package that is dated February 14, 2008.
