FIX: Error message when you build a Windows Embedded CE 6.0 image: "error LNK2001 unresolved external symbol"

In Windows Embedded CE 6.0 Platform Builder, you build a Windows Embedded CE 6.0 image. When you do this, Windows Embedded CE 6.0 Platform Builder may stop responding. Additionally, you may receive an error message that resembles the following:This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:

• The SYSGEN_RDP_AXCTRL component is included in the Windows Embedded CE 6.0 image.
• The update that is described in Microsoft Knowledge Base article 939561 is applied to the Windows Embedded CE 6.0-based device. Or, the July monthly update is applied to the Windows Embedded CE 6.0-based device.

Software update information

A supported software update is now available from Microsoft as Windows CE 6.0 Platform Builder Monthly Update (August 2007). You can confirm this by scrolling to the "File information" section of this article. The package file name contains the product version, date, Knowledge Base article number, and processor type. Restart requirement

After you apply this update, you must perform a clean build of the whole platform. To clean the platform, click Clean on the Build menu. To build the platform, click Build Platform on the Build menu. You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this update.
