This article discusses anti-spam updates in Microsoft Forefront Security for Exchange Server.

To maintain consistent spam protection over time, you must make sure that anti-spam filters are updated.

Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 uses the proven Microsoft Update infrastructure to obtain anti-spam filter updates. Administrators can visit the Microsoft Update Web site to retrieve content filter updates. These updates are published every two weeks.

Enterprise client access license (CAL) customers are offered an increased level of protection. Spam filter updates are more frequent and diverse for Enterprise CAL customers.
