On This PageSYMPTOMSAn agent of Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007 Service Pack 1 reports to management servers that are running the release version of System Center Operations Manager 2007. However, the management servers do not process the agent event data. Instead, the management servers reject the agent event data as malformed data. CAUSEThis problem occurs because Operations Manager 2007 Service Pack 1 includes some changes to the event data types. The release version of Operations Manager 2007 considers the event data to be malformed. RESOLUTIONHotfix informationA supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.If the hotfix is available for download, there is a "Hotfix download available" section at the top of this Knowledge Base article. If this section does not appear, submit a request to Microsoft Customer Service and Support to obtain the hotfix. Note If additional issues occur or if any troubleshooting is required, you might have to create a separate service request. To do this, copy the SystemCenterOpsMgr07-RTM-KB941557-X86-AMD64-ENU.msi file from the hotfix package to a local folder or to a shared folder. Then, run this file.Note You can run this file either in Windows Explorer or at a command prompt. The hotfix installation process restarts the OpsMgr Health service.
