SYMPTOMS

On a Windows Embedded CE 6.0-based device, a kernel-mode driver that uses the floating-point emulation library generates an exception. Additionally, the kernel-mode driver cannot be loaded.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the floating-point emulation code handler is installed in user mode. Therefore, the kernel-mode driver cannot use the floating-point emulation library in kernel mode.
