Article ID: 941872 - Last Review: October 26, 2007 - Revision: 1.1 FIX: The logon_error_dates property of a user object is not cleared when you call the ValidateUser method of a Commerce Server membership provider after you use a correct account and a correct password in Commerce Server 2007
On This PageSYMPTOMSConsider the following scenario. In Microsoft Commerce Server 2007, you call the
ValidateUser method of a Commerce Server membership provider.
Although you use a correct account and a correct
password, the logon_error_dates property of a user object is not cleared.
Additionally, no error is raised when this problem occurs. CAUSE This problem occurs because Commerce Server 2007 calls
the EraseFailedLoginHistory method in the UpmMembershipUser class to clear
the logon_error_dates property. In the EraseFailedLoginHistory method, the
collection of failed attempts is not deleted after you call the ValidateUser
method by using the correct account and the correct password. RESOLUTIONHotfix informationA supported hotfix is available from Microsoft.
