Western AustraliaDST was introduced in Western Australia for a three-year trial period that started in December 2006. The three-year trial period gives Western Australia an opportunity to try the new DST. A referendum will be held in 2009 to decide whether Western Australia will keep DST permanently. In 2007 and in 2008, DST starts at 02:00 Western Time on the last Sunday in October. DST ends at 02:00 Western Time (03:00 daylight saving time) on the last Sunday in March of the following year. This change brings Western Australia in line with most other Australian states and with most other Australian territories that have DST. This change means that businesses in Western Australia are no longer separated from their counterparts in the eastern states by an additional hour during the summer. How to install the DST updateOn some Windows Mobile devices, the DST change may not initialize after you apply the DST 2007 fall update.
