When you type a date that is before 1/2/1904 in the
Event Date field of a Microsoft Expression
Media media file, Expression Media cannot correctly display the date. For example, the
following behavior occurs in Expression Media:
- If you type a date that is after 1/2/1704 and that is before
1/1/1804, Expression Media increases the year value by 200. For example, if you type the date 7/7/1800, Expression Media displays the date as 7/7/2000.
- If you type a date that is after 1/2/1804 and that is before
1/1/1904, Expression Media increases the year value by 100. For example, if you type the date 7/7/1900, Expression Media displays the date as 7/7/2000.
- If you type the date 1/1/1804 or the date 1/1/1904, the
date disappears.
Additionally, if you use Adobe Bridge to enter dates, and then
you synchronize with Expression Media, the dates are not displayed correctly.
To work around this problem, type the date in a field other
than the
Event Date field. For example, type the date in one
of the text fields. To do this, follow these steps:
- Open a catalog in Expression Media.
- Select one media file, and then click
Info on the toolbar.
- Type the date in a text field. For example, you can type
the date in the Instructions field.
Microsoft
has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed
in the "Applies to" section.
