On This PageINTRODUCTION Microsoft Forefront Client Security (FCS) Enterprise Manager centralizes multiple Forefront Client Security deployments so that you can manage those deployments more easily. The foundation for Enterprise Manager is a standard single-server or dual-server deployment of Forefront Client Security. You must apply the following update on a Forefront Client Security management server to enable compatibility with Enterprise Manager. The detection logic in Microsoft Update does not offer this update if hotfix 940060 has not been installed.Restart requirementIf associated services cannot be stopped or if files cannot be replaced dynamically, you may have to restart the computer.Hotfix replacement informationThis update replaces hotfix 940060 and hotfix 936729.File informationThe English version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. MORE INFORMATIONThis update enables the FCS management console and the FCS reports to display information about the status of the earlier versions of Enterprise Manager. It also updates the on-demand scan feature to operate correctly with Enterprise Manager. This update is mandatory for the single FCS server that is used as Enterprise Manager.
