INTRODUCTION

Issues that the hotfix package fixes

This hotfix fixes the following issues that were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
When you try to migrate a Microsoft Content Management Server (MCMS) database to the Central Administration site in SharePoint Server 2007, the migration fails. Additionally, the following error message is recorded in the migration log files:
Migration failed. System.AccessViolationException: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.
You create a MySite personal site on a SharePoint Server 2007 site. However, this new MySite personal site does not inherit the Personal Site Provider locale. Instead, the new MySite personal site uses English (United States) from the SharePoint Server 2007 Explicit Locale Identifier (LCID).
You add an Active Directory group to a SharePoint group. Then, you make the SharePoint group the target group for a Web Part on a SharePoint page. When a member of the Active Directory group logs on to the SharePoint page, the Web Part is not visible.
