Error message when you try to open the HTTP compression preferences in the ISA Server Management console after you apply Service Pack 3 for ISA Server 2004: "ISA Server cannot load the property page"

SYMPTOMS

After you apply Service Pack 3 (SP3) for Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2004, you cannot open the HTTP compression preferences in the ISA Server Management console. When you try to do this, you receive the following error message:
ISA Server cannot load the property page. 0x80070002 The system cannot find the file specified.
After you click OK in response to the error message, an empty HTTP Compression dialog box appears.

This problem occurs for one of the following reasons:
You run the ISA Server Management console on a configuration storage server on which ISA Server Firewall services are not installed.
You run the ISA Server Management console on a stand-alone computer on which ISA Server Firewall services are not installed.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because ISA Server 2004 SP3 introduces an error.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, apply the 943202 hotfix rollup package on each computer that has the ISA Server Management console installed. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use the ISA Server Management console only on a computer on which ISA Server Firewall services are installed.
