SYMPTOMSWhen you back up a Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 Web application or a Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 Web application, and then you restore this application to a new farm, some SharePoint timer job definitions are not restored successfully.
CAUSEThis issue occurs when timer job definitions that are associated with a Web application are not successfully created during a restore. RESOLUTIONThis issue is resolved by Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 post-Service Pack 1 hotfix 941422. To resolve this issue, update to that version of Windows SharePoint Services 3.0, and then backup and restore your Web application. Or, follow the steps in this section.

To resolve this issue, before you restore the backup to the new farm, you must manually create a new Web application in Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 or in Office SharePoint Server 2007. To do this, you must use the same name as the Web application that is contained in the backup. When you do this, the following Windows SharePoint Services timer job definitions are created automatically:
