This article describes the Microsoft Conferencing Add-in for Microsoft Office Outlook issues that are fixed in the Conferencing Add-in for Outlook that is dated October 8, 2007.
This article describes the following items about the update:

This update fixes the following issues that were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
•
You receive an error message when you try to schedule a recurring meeting.
When you try to use the Conferencing Add-in for Outlook to schedule a recurring meeting in Live Meeting 2007, the meeting is not scheduled. Additionally, you receive the following error message:
Recurring Meetings are not supported by the Microsoft Office Live Meeting Add-in for Outlook.
•
The "Schedule a Conference Call" button cannot be disabled.
When you install the Conferencing Add-in, the Schedule a Conference Call button may be unexpectedly enabled. This issue may occur if your organization does not use Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 for voice over IP (VoIP) conferencing.
To resolve this issue, install this update. Then, follow these steps to remove the Schedule a Conference Call button.
Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. Exit Microsoft Office Outlook.
2.
Start Registry Editor.
•
In Windows Vista, click Start, type regedit in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Continue.
•
In Windows XP, click Start, click Run,
type regedit, and then click
OK.
3.
Locate and then click to select the following registry subkey:
After you select the subkey that is specified in step 3, point to New on the Edit menu, and then click DWORD Value.
5.
Type RemoveConferenceCall, and then press ENTER.
6.
Right-click RemoveConferenceCall, and then click Modify.
7.
In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.
8.
On the File menu, click Exit to close Registry Editor.
•
You receive an error message when you click "Microsoft Conferencing Add-in Help."
You use a non-English language version of Outlook. When you click Microsoft Conferencing Add-in Help on the Conferencing menu, you receive the following error message:
An error occurred while executing this command. If this error persists, please contact your Live Meeting administrator.
•
Certain error messages in the Conferencing Add-in for Outlook incorrectly refer to "Live Meeting Enterprise Portal."
When you use the Conferencing Add-in for Outlook, you receive certain error messages that incorrectly refer to "Live Meeting Enterprise Portal." This update fixes the error messages so that they correctly refer to "Live Meeting Service Portal."
•
Expiration information for meetings and for recordings is incomplete or inaccurately described.
When you view the expiration information for your meetings and for your recordings, the information is incomplete or is inaccurately described.
•
Presenter's notes are incorrectly received in an attendee's invitation.
When an attendee opens a Live Meeting invitation, the attendee receives the customized presenter's notes in the body of the invitation. You would expect the attendee to receive the customized attendee's notes instead of the presenter's notes in the body of the invitation.
•
The country code in an attendee's invitation is missing.
When an attendee opens a Live Meeting invitation, the country code for the meeting's telephone number is missing.
•
You receive an error message when you test the connection for a user's account.
When you test the connection for a users account, you receive the following error message:
An error occurred while executing this command. If this error persists, please contact your Live Meeting administrator.
Additionally, you receive error messages in the Live Meeting log that resemble the following error messages:

[ ( 50) 11:15:55:745 <RTL> ] [ PID: 5392 TID: 2896 ] Displaying error message "An error occurred while executing this command. If this error persists, please contact your Live Meeting administrator." for HRESULT 0x80070490
•
The audio part of a Live Meeting conference call is disabled when you use telephone conferencing.
If you do not include a leader or participant code in a Live Meeting invitation, the audio part of the Live Meeting conference call is disabled.
•
Cannot track attendees' responses for a Live Meeting invitation.
After you send a Live Meeting invitation, you cannot track the attendees' responses.
There are no prerequisites for installing this update.
Restart information
You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this update.
Update replacement information
This update replaces the following version of the Conferencing Add-in for Outlook:
•
Conferencing Add-in for Outlook version 8.0.6362.0
Registry information
To use one of the hotfixes in this package, you must either create a registry key or modify a registry key.For more information about the registry key, see "The ‘Schedule a Conference Call' button cannot be disabled" in the "List of issues fixed" section.
