INTRODUCTION

This article describes a design change in Cumulative Update Package 4 for Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 2 (SP2). In Cumulative Update Package 4, time stamp information is logged for the RSPrintClient Microsoft ActiveX control.

On a client computer, you can use the RSPrintClient ActiveX control to perform one of the following operations on a report in SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services:

Print the report
View the report by using Print Preview

The report server log file logs events that are related to the RSPrintClient ActiveX control. However, time stamp information is not logged before you install Cumulative Update Package 4. Time stamp information is logged only after you install Cumulative Update Package 4.

The following error message is an example of events that are logged in the report server log file after you install Cumulative Update Package 4:
