SYMPTOMSWhen you try to upgrade Microsoft Works 9 or Microsoft Works SE 9 to an upgrade version of a 2007 Microsoft Office suite, you may receive the following error message: Locate your earlier version of Microsoft Office. Setup can’t find a version of Microsoft Office on your computer.
CAUSEThis problem occurs because of an error in Works 9 and in Works SE 9. During the upgrade process, Works does not provide the necessary information to the 2007 Office Setup program. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, download the "Update for Microsoft Works 9 and Works SE 9," and then install the Office 2007 upgrade.
