Some e-mail messages become stuck in the submission queue in Exchange Server 2007
SYMPTOMSIn a Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 environment,
some e-mail messages become stuck in the submission queue and take a long time to be
delivered. CAUSEThis problem occurs when these e-mail messages are sent
to nested distribution groups. The expansion server takes a long time to process
nested distribution groups. These e-mail messages are sent to large nested
distribution lists together with permission groups for user rights to
send messages to the distribution lists. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem in Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1, install Update Rollup 1 for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1.
