Article ID: 943808 - Last Review: February 29, 2008 - Revision: 1.4 An attachment incorrectly appears as the body of an e-mail message in Exchange Server 2007SYMPTOMSIn a Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 organization, a user receives an empty e-mail message that has an attachment. However, the attachment incorrectly appears as the body of the e-mail message. In Microsoft Exchange Server 2003, the same e-mail message correctly appears as an empty message body and a separate attachment. This problem occurs if the original e-mail message is a MIME message that has no body and that has only one text or HTML attachment. CAUSEThis problem occurs because Exchange Server 2007 handles the attachment by converting it to a message body. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, install Update Rollup 1 for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1.
