SUMMARY

This article describes the Microsoft Office PerformancePoint Server 2007 bugs that are fixed in the KB944387 hotfix package.

INTRODUCTION

A hotfix package is available for PerformancePoint Server 2007. The build of this hotfix package is 3.0.3701.00.

Issues that the hotfix package fixes

This hotfix fixes the following issues that were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

PerformancePoint Monitoring issues

  • The scoring engine returns a score of 0 if the following conditions are true:
    • You use a stated score.
    • The Target value is NULL.
  • The Excel Services Report adds too much white space to the Web report. The report does not fully use the size that is provided in the PerformancePoint Server Web part.
  • The "Export to Excel" feature and the "Export to PowerPoint" feature do not correctly handle NULL values for images.
  • When you use the Microsoft Excel Export: % formatted data operation, the results appear incorrectly in Excel.
  • When you use the "Export to Excel" feature to export a text target value, the exported text may be formatted incorrectly.

PerformancePoint Planning issue

  • Some writable regions of a form are unavailable when you create the form by using the PerformancePoint 2007 Add-in for Excel Report Wizard.

    Note To see the changes that this hotfix provides in an existing report after you apply this hotfix, you must follow the steps in the Report Wizard for the affected report. However, do not make any changes to the report. After you complete the steps in the Report Wizard, the writable regions of the form are available.

Hotfix information

Prerequisites

This hotfix is a post-release hotfix. To apply this hotfix, you must be running the release version of PerformancePoint Server 2007. The version number must be 3.0.3520.00 or a later version number. To view the version number in PerformancePoint Server 2007, click About on the Help menu.

Important You must apply the hotfix to each client computer and server computer that has a PerformancePoint Server 2007 component installed.

Restart information

You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this hotfix. However, you must restart Internet Information Services (IIS) to apply the changes to the PerformancePoint Monitoring export functionality that this hotfix contains. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then click OK.
  2. At the command prompt, type iisreset, and then press ENTER.

Hotfix replacement information

This hotfix does not replace a previously released hotfix.

Registry information

To use one of the hotfixes in this package, you do not have to make any changes to the registry.

File information

This hotfix may not contain all the files that you must have to fully update a product to the latest build. This hotfix contains only the files that you must have to correct the issues that are listed in this article.

This hotfix updates the PerformancePoint Server 2007 components to version 3.0.3702.00. To verify the version number after you apply this hotfix, click About on the Help menu in PerformancePoint Server 2007.
