Removal information

You cannot remove this security update. An issue exists in Microsoft Office XP that causes Office XP to be partially uninstalled when updates to certain components are installed or uninstalled. This update fixes that issue. However, when the security update is uninstalled, the issue is reintroduced and Office is partially uninstalled. To prevent this behavior, you cannot uninstall this update.

To revert to a previous installation of Office XP that does not include the security update, you must uninstall Office XP. Then, install Office XP again by using the original CD or by using the original installation location.
