Only the entries in the MailSubmission log are returned when you run the Get-MessageTrackingLog cmdlet against an Exchange 2007 server that hosts both the Hub Transport role and the Mailbox role
SYMPTOMSYou run the Get-MessageTrackingLog cmdlet to search the message tracking logs against a Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 server that hosts both the Hub Transport role and the Mailbox role. However, the results that are returned include only the entries in the MailSubmission log. CAUSEExchange Server 2007 saves the MailSubmission log in the MSGTRKYYYYMMDD-x.LOG files. Additionally, Exchange Server 2007 saves the Transport log in the MSGTRKMYYYYMMDD-x.LOG files. When the Get-MessageTrackingLog cmdlet obtains a list of log files, the cmdlet incorrectly overwrites the Transport entry with the MailSubmission entry in the file list if a MailSubmission log file and a Transport log file have the same create time stamp. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem in Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1, install Update Rollup 1 for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1.
