Music that is transferred from CD or media that is downloaded from the Zune Marketplace does not appear in your Zune collection

SYMPTOMS

When you transfer music from CD, when you download music from the Zune Marketplace, or when you copy a podcast subscription, the artist, album, and track information do not appear in your Zune collection.

THINGS TO TRY

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
  1. Start the Zune software, and then click Settings.
  2. On the Zune settings screen, make sure that software is selected (at the top left).
  3. On the left-side menu, click COLLECTION.
  4. Under Monitored folders and under Zune folders, click ADD FOLDER or click CHANGE FOLDER.
  5. Select the location where you want to store your transferred, downloaded, or subscription media content, and then click OK.
