When you use the Zune FM Transmitter v2, you may experience weak or irregular radio reception, or erratic RBDS text displayed for song information.

This problem may occur because of several environmental factors. Factors that can affect the radio reception quality include the following:
| • | The location of the antenna on the vehicle in which you are using the Zune FM Transmitter v2 |
| • | The broadcast strength of radio stations on neighboring frequencies |
| • | The closeness and broadcast strength of other FM transmitters or of similar devices |
| • | The type of vehicle in which you are using the Zune FM Transmitter v2 |

To troubleshoot this issue, follow these steps:
| 1. | Update the Zune FM Transmitter v2. To do this, connect the transmitter to a Zune device that has the current device software installed, and then update the transmitter.

| 2. | Try a different frequency. A different frequency may distribute less interference.Note You can use resources on the Internet to help locate an unused frequency in your area. For example, visit the following Internet Web site to locate unused frequencies by city and state or by ZIP Code/Postal Code: |
| 3. | Try different positions for the Zune device and transmitter. |
| 4. | Extend the cord on the Zune FM Transmitter v2 as far as you can. Do not wrap or bundle the cord. |
| 5. | Limit sources of interference from the electrical system in the vehicle in which you are using the Zune FM Transmitter v2. For example, charging a cellular phone may interfere with the signal from the Zune FM Transmitter v2 and cause a hiss or crackle in the audio. |
| 6. | If you are using the Zune FM Transmitter with the Zune 30GB device, turn off the equalizer setting.
To do this, follow these steps:| a. | From the home screen, select Settings, and then press the center of the Zune pad.
| | b. | Select music, and then press the center of the Zune pad. | | c. | Select equalizer, and then press the center of the Zune pad until the equalizer lists none. |
