SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario in Microsoft Office Communicator 2007:
  • A transferor transfers a Voice over IP (VoIP) call to a transferee.
  • The call transfer fails.
In this scenario, the call is on hold for both the transferor and the transferee.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the transferee must take the call off hold to view the user interface. However, the transferee may not know this.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, install the hotfix that is described in the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
