When you insert the Microsoft System Center Essentials 2007 product DVD into a DVD drive for which the AutoPlay function is enabled, you receive the following error message:
DriveLetter is not a valid Win32 application.
is the drive letter of the DVD drive.
This problem occurs because the Autorun.inf file on the DVD media contains incorrect information for the following localized versions:
- Chinese Traditional
- Chinese Simplified
- Russian
- Korean
- Brazilian Portuguese
To work around this problem, follow these steps:
- Right-click the DVD drive that contains the System Center Essentials 2007 media, and then click Explore.
- In the root directory, double-click the Default.hta file to start the installation.
