SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, IMAP4 clients may experience latencies or slowness when the clients are running against Exchange Server 2007-based servers.

For example, users who use IMAP4 clients may experience intermittent slow downloads of e-mail message headers and of e-mail message bodies.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem in Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1, install Update Rollup 1 for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

To resolve this problem in the release version of Exchange Server 2007, install Update Rollup 6 for Exchange Server 2007.
