This package installs the Visual C++ 2008 Feature Pack. This feature pack extends the Visual C++ Libraries that are included with Visual Studio 2008.

The Visual C++ 2008 MFC libraries have been extended to enable you to create applications that have features such as the following:
A Microsoft Office Ribbon-style interface
The appearance and behavior of 2007 Office, Office 2003, and Office XP
Modern Visual Studio-style docking toolbars and panes
Fully customizable toolbars and menus
A rich set of advanced GUI controls
Advanced multiple document interface (MDI) tabs and groups
