You cannot type a special character in the password box in Communicator 2007

You try to type a password that contains a special character in the password box in Microsoft Office Communicator 2007. However, you cannot type the special character.

To resolve this issue, download and install the Communicator 2007 hotfix package that is dated December 7, 2007. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

To work around this issue, copy and paste the special character into the password box.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
