You run an Excel 2003 solution that was created in Visual Studio Tools (VSTO) for Microsoft Office 2003. Then, you open or save a workbook that contains a circular reference. In this scenario, Excel closes unexpectedly. Additionally, you receive the following error message:
Microsoft Office Excel has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
