Description of the Microsoft Windows registry SYMPTOMSYou install security update 943460 (MS07-061) on a Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2)-based computer that has an Arabic Multilingual User Interface Pack (MUI) or a Hebrew MUI installed. After you do this, English text may appear on the menu bars and on the Start menu.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because of a mismatched resource checksum between the Windows Shell component and the MUI.
RESOLUTIONWarning Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly by using Registry Editor or by using another method. These problems might require that you reinstall the operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that these problems can be solved. Modify the registry at your own risk. To resolve this problem, edit the registry to change the value of the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Nls\MUILanguages\RCV2\shell32.dll
