When you use Word 2003 to open an e-mail message that uses RTF, custom add-ins may not be displayed in Outlook 2003

SYMPTOMS

You have set Microsoft Office Word 2003 as the e-mail editor in Microsoft Office Outlook 2003. However, when you open an e-mail message that uses Rich Text Format (RTF), custom add-ins may not be displayed in the Outlook Active Inspector toolbar.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, turn off Word 2003 as your default e-mail editor for RTF e-mail messages in Outlook. To do this, follow these steps:
1.Start Outlook.
2.On the Tools menu, click Options.
3.Click the Mail Format tab.
4.Click to clear the Use Microsoft Office Word 2003 to read Rich Text e-mail messages check box, and then click OK.
