You receive a message that states that the product key is invalid, or you receive an error message when you start Expression: "The licensing didn't start properly. (80070005)"
When you first start Microsoft Expression, you may experience one of the following symptoms:
You use an administrator account to install Expression. Then, you enter the product key and then click Continue. In this scenario, Expression is activated successfully as expected.
However, if you log on to the computer by using a different administrator account and then start Expression, you are prompted to enter the product key. When you enter the product key, you receive a message that states that the product key is invalid.
You have already activated Expression successfully. Therefore, you do not expect to be prompted to enter the product key.
When you enter the product key and then click Continue, you receive the following error message:
The licensing didn't start properly. (80070005)
You may experience this issue with one of the following Expression programs:
Microsoft Expression Blend
Microsoft Expression Media
Microsoft Expression Design
Note This issue is not known to occur with Microsoft Expression Web.
To work around this issue, use the following methods in the order in which they appear. If the issue is not resolved after you use a method, go to the next method.
Create a new user account, and then add the new user account to the local Administrators group.

Method 3: Configure Expression to run as an administrator
To do this, follow these steps, as appropriate for the operating system that you are running.

Windows Vista
Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft Expression, right-click the Expression ProgramName shortcut, and then click Properties.
On the Shortcut tab, click Advanced.
In the Advanced Properties dialog box, click to select the Run as administrator check box.
Click OK two times.
Windows XP
Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft Expression, right-click the Expression ProgramName shortcut, and then click Run as.
In the Run As dialog box, click The following user.
In the User name box, type the local administrator account in the following format:
ComputerName\Administrator
In the Password box, type the administrator password, and then click OK.
