On a computer that has Communicator 2007 installed, you do not hear Dual Tone Multi-Frequency tones when you use a device’s dial pad to enter a telephone number

SYMPTOMS

You use a device that has a dial pad and display on a computer that has Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 installed. You enter a telephone number in the dial pad of the device, and you then dial the number. However, when you enter the telephone number, you do not hear the Dual Tone Multi-Frequency (DTMF) tones for the number keys when you use the device dial pad on the computer.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, install the update that is described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Office Communicator 2007.
