A transferred call fails in Communicator 2007

SYMPTOMS

When you transfer a call in Microsoft Office Communicator 2007, the call fails. This problem occurs if the telephone number to which the call is transferred does not have the E164 normalization rule applied to it.

CAUSE

Mediation Server does not perform the uniform resource identifier (URI) validation for the call that is transferred.
