In Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007, Mediation Server receives a re-invite request without having Session Description Protocol (SDP) on its gateway side.
When this occurs, Mediation Server does not handle the request correctly. Mediation Server responds with an SDP that contains the present direction attribute of the peer side of the call.

After you apply this update, when Mediation Server receives a re-invite request without having SDP on its gateway side, Mediation Server responds with a direction attribute that reflects the maximum capability of the peer side of the call.
