The hotfix that is discussed in this article is not available for the Chinese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM or for the Japanese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
This problem was corrected in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 Update Rollup 3.

The English version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. Install this hotfix on computers that are running the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 server components and the Microsoft Dynamics CRM laptop client for Microsoft Office Outlook.

Removal information
To remove this hotfix from a computer that is running Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, or Windows 2000, use Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel.
System administrators can use the Spuninst.exe tool to remove this hotfix from a computer that is running Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, or Windows 2000.
The Spuninst.exe tool is located in the %Windir%\$NTUninstallKB946130$\Spuninst folder.

Create a referential relationship between a contact and a custom entity. Make sure that the contact is the primary entity. Make sure that the custom entity is the related entity.
Create a referential relationship between the custom entity and an opportunity entity that contains a customer field.
Map the new_contactid attribute of the custom entity to the customer attribute of the opportunity entity.
Specify a privilege that is not the None Selected privilege for the custom entity of the security role. For example, you can specify the User privilege for the custom entity.
Specify the None Selected privilege for the account entity of the security role.
Assign the security role to a user.
Log on to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 as the user.
Create a contact.
In the contact form, create an instance of the custom entity.
Create an opportunity from the instance of the custom entity.
